This shoe is amazing. I am a collegiate softball player and I love this shoe. I lift weights, run, and practice in this shoe and the soul has never broken down. I wore it for a year to everything athletically then my mom took my old pair to just wear around. If you are tough on shoes, I think this pair will actually save you money. The only downside is if you get the wrong size, if this shoe is even slightly too small, you will not work it in.

This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have put on. I used to wear the spikes and got tired of my feet hurting. These definitely do not make my feet hurt. I can play an entire tournament without my feet hurting now. They are pretty much true to size - get the size that you get your other tennis shoes in.

Mizuno Wave Ascend 4 Trail Running Shoe Womens Review

I bought this pair to replace an earlier version of the same model that I wore out trail running over many miles. The old pair still looks like new on the outside but the padding inside compressed and no longer provided enough heel cushioning or arch support, which is typical of any running shoe.

I am pleased with the new pair. Like the previous version, they are comfortable and stable. They do not give me blisters. These provide great traction, including on steep hills. I love the curly shoelaces because they do not come undone. My only quibble is the mesh exterior and liner allows trail dust in so I end up with dirty socks and feet. This appears to be common on all running shoes lately and these are not any worse in that regard.

I have high arches and need to add Superfeet Insoles to all my shoes, including these. I have narrow feet and would prefer AA sizes, but they are hard to find in a serious trail shoe. I always wear two pairs of socks to avoid blisters and take up extra volume. I recently started using Injinji toe socks and I'm a dedicated convert now. Combine those with a few dabs of Bodyglide between the toes and I have happy feet.

I've tried many makes and models. New Balance makes lots of narrows but they gave me blackened toenails, so I have given up on them except for hiking. I also tried the Nike Air Pegasus Trail but the sole was too thin and I could feel rocks underfoot.
